Was listening to Rescue 175 on ch zero recently they was tasked to a boat and the rescue was co ordinated by solent Coastguard but strangely they requested the helicopter crew to contact "UK Rescue" to request an ambulance to be sent to landing site. Ive never heard of UK rescue can anyone tell me what agency operates UK Rescue and any frequency detail please?

Used to be "Kinloss Rescue". 5680 kHz
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

A couple of months ago had a polycon transmission from a SAR helicopter exercising off the coast at Great Yarmouth, in the background could hear transmissions from the coastguard on channel 0, the local ATC at Norwich and what sounded like an Airwave transmission talking with other "Rescue" callsigns.
