Does anyone have a list of callsign to base allocation please?

Either G-XXXX or Coastguard XXX to Newquay, Lee on Solent etc

Which is best free shipfinder, planefinder, to show SAR assets?

Thank you

JohnG

The numeric part is not related to the cab except that the first digit denotes the cab type.

so G-MCGM should now be using 1xx where xx is 87 or 88 depending if it is first duty or second duty.

The cabs are not permanently allocated to specific locations nor are they permanently allocated the two digit code.

So if GJ was being based at St Athan (unlikely now the AWs are being delivered) it would use 987 or 988 depending if first duty or second duty.

The only UK Sea Kings still active in the SAR role are the Falklands ones. Rescue 193 and 177 handed over to the MCA on the 1st January. 771 Sqn will remain until March but is no longer responsible for SAR, although they could be called in if needed and would probably use their previous Rescue callsigns.

Bristow Helicopters use 453.025 at their base next to Aberdeen Dyce Airport if anyone is interested. I know it is not an airband frequency but thought it should be posted here.
