For military in your location I'd start by listening to:
125.225 MHz RAF Valley LARS
129.525 MHz RAF Warton LARS
Then I'd go to this thread - viewtopic.php?f=10&t=81 - and copy in all the Valley, Warton and Mona frequencies.

I'd join fightercontrol.co.uk and double-check the frequencies/lists above against their generally more up-to-date and comprehensive lists.
If I was really keen, I'd get a Planeplotter subscription (and/or set-up your own ads-b receiver) and watch to see which aircraft are in the area and then research their squadron frequencies.
