Spent an hour listening on all the channels I know - and drew a complete blank. The highest antenna I have (a dual band white stick) is rather poor around the 310-320MHz area, and not much better either side, so the wideband aerial is better - BUT - annoyingly that has a chunk out of its pattern from an obstacle, in just that direction from here. I note that Brize Norton is well served by MLAT on Flightradar24 - covered last night's landing right down to the ground.

I guess it depends on your location and setup but I'm on the west side of Leicester and I pick up the area 8 tanking activity loud and clear on my diy attic dipole antenna. Usually pushing me 2-3 bars on my 125XLT and they are around 100-120 miles from me line of sight at flight level 160 approx usually.

I have been watching this airspace over the past week or so & when the refuelling is taking place everyone else is moved either south or West & over Norfolk & or Lincolnshire or further North.
