I can confirm both frequencies in use today, both being called up as RADAR, the NATS website and the NAVTECH charts don't have 126.175 - but they also don't have the new ATIS frequency either so I guess these things take time..

After listening most of morning 126.175 seems to be the primary freq used, 134.175 being used much less except during the early morning busy period when both used equally, still trying to get more info..

Further to above I asked one of our pilots and he said it is to spread the load on the controllers during the spring/summer due to the amount of VFR traffic...we do have a lot of light aircraft training/flying here. HTH

If it is to 'spread the load' and both 126.175 & 134.175 may be used where does that leave the long standing 'official' secondary radar frequency of 120.125? The plot thickens!

The App Frequency,134.175 now provides a LARS (lower airspace radar service.)Radar has new freq 126.175 and the old radar Freq (120.125) is now 'East Midlands Director'.Radar and Director Freq's are not in use all the time.Radar sometimes still uses 134.175.
