Confused. It appears on a list but how is that proof? There are many mis-reports that get copied from one list to another.

Has anybody actualy heard these used?

I recall the old Northumberland Fire scan and search net. Two freqs were typos. They got repeated on web sites and books till the net was switched off. People put lists out that they have just copied.

Yes thousands of people heard them in use at riat 2017 what is so hard to accept lol :laughs:
Maybe you should come down next year for RIAT 2018. The same frequencies will be in use with some new and some dropped depends on Which Airforces turns up.

Thanks Ben

Must have been many members on here who were at the event and heard them on the secondary or transit frequencies. Last time confirmation was requested the only freq reported was 243.450 but sure those at the event wil confirm and put the matter to bed once and for all.

The only thing I can say as the OP is that I have the frequency stored in my scanner as 'Red Arrows Air-Ground' and the frequency is 242.2Mhz.I must have got that info from somewhere, but I dont know where. The Arrows visit N.Ireland once a year at the Newcastle Festival of Flight, and I'm 95% sure I've heard them on that. The other frequency I have for them is 243.45mhz which is stored as 'Red Arrows Air-Air',and I've definitely heard them on that.I also have 232.05Mhz stored as 'Red Arrows 2nd'.

I've heard some of the Red Arrows (Specifically 4,5,6 whilst returning to the UK from France) using 307.075 in April 2016. So it's pretty uncommon.
Never heard them use 242.2
I treat all freqs listed in various vague sources with a pinch of salt until I hear them myself.
Most forums do not include date last heard, and I know from experience that some long dead freqs last for years because they are repeated without question by people who have little knowledge, and do bother to check them. 71MHz fire brigade freqs being the worst example!
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

Even reliable sources can get it wrong for a number of reasons, a typo being just one of them.
