Irish Coastguard heli using Polycon 419.1375

Postby Minus1 » Wed Jul 27, 2016 9:18 am

Slightly off-topic with respect to area, but Irish Coastguard rescue helicopter EI-ICU is currently passing SW of Birmingham Airport, and now turned towards EGBB. Showing as 4CA98C on Flightradar 24.
Intriguingly, they are using Polycon on 419.1375, so that freq may be a NATO military allocation rather than a UK one, and thus may be used over Ireland too.
ATC callsign "Med-Evac 117"
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

It's also used by the Bristows crew based in Prestwick. They also use 419.1125.
200 miles in 2 days for my 3 children.
