Welcome to the forum Jack.

162.1750/157.5750 is the main channel for Foyle Search & Rescue although you will also find them on other frequencies

The other frequencies around there will be marine frequencies. 162.1750 is in the Marine Band so aswell as their main channel they will also have full use of all marine channels.

And welcome to the forum

That is their main frequency and they do pay for a licence for it but they do have access to the whole marine band, do you know the common marine band frequencies? If not let me know and I'll post them for you :smiles:

also, maybe a bit of a noob question ... when i stored that frequency i think i stored it in the wrong bank ... does it have to be stored in the marine bank of frequencies to be heard?
