Newport City council - changes

Hi All,

thought I'd start a new thread on this one

it seems that a lot of the city council technically assigned licences have been augmented and a few systems have changed channels .
I'm working on the "whose where" now but these are the current set of council frequencies assigned [source: ofcom WTR)

165.1875 no council traffic
165.650 no council traffic
166.0625 no ctcss - 5 tone signalling - council binmen
166.150 no ctcss 5 tone signalling - strong repeater - no voices yet - had a tip off that this is the road sweepers - but practically no traffic
166.175 no council traffic
168.850 no council traffic
169.2125 ctcss 162.2 - Maesglas Tip
445.5625 llanwern comp (formerly hartridge) havent heard this but suspect they are still using UK simple UHF
446.05625 (PMR 446 channel 5) Transporter Bridge (when operational)
446.3000 ctcss 151.4 this is still Tredegar House staff
447.7875 ongoing investigation
453.175 ctcss 67.0 - C/S "capital" - parking enforcement
453.225 the house in beechwood park CTCSS 77.0 obliterated by new digital constant carrier was also the Newport Centre but they now have HYTERA DMR radios
453.975 ongoing investigation
456.675 no council traffic
459.800 CTCSS 88.5 museum / library / art gallery - John Frost Square
461.6875 ctcss 77.0 - sports village - Spytty


hopefully we will fill the gaps in the coming weeks

additionally the Newport Centre have now got Hytera DMR radios

I cant get a close call hit so suspect they are simplex

I'll watch their old frequency for Simplex DMR traffic

Could they be using Tetra? Airwave? Would explain no CC hits.

no chance! . its a receptionist / pool lifeguards with hytera DMR handies !!

simplex DMR doesnt usually close call - repeaters do though

446.3000 ctcss 151.4 this is still Tredegar House staff

The house (and licence) are now owned by the National Trust . Radio Frequency etc havent changed
