10 FM lift on..

Postby m0lsx » Wed Mar 05, 2014 7:26 pm

10 meter has been bubbling nicely fot the past couple of days & I am currently listening to the New York repeater on my GRE & 6/2/70 colinear...
Lots of Uk stations popping up, a 2M0 was on about 15 minutes ago & since then a M6 & G4...
Don't ignore the 10 meter repeaters if your scanner covers 28 mhz as it can burst in life all year round..My first warning of a lift is normally music on the band, probably from Russian Taxi companies, but that disappears as the repeaters come to life for me..

Yes very busy on low band vhf for sure a lift going on.

CB channels are indeed very active hearing a lot of stations. one is very strong with the callsign Charlie Tango 227 in the peak district talking to people from all over at the moment its someone in nottingham, he mentioned a few people are on a "charlie tango dx night" its good to hear the cb bands alive
