Welbrook 1530LN

Postby saxonia » Tue Feb 23, 2016 6:26 pm

My long wire which feeds into a Global ATU and then into my AOR7030 is all but useless. So much so I hardly use it coupled with the poor reception over the last few years ... So with my wifes permission plus birthday and Xmas money I might consider one of these .. BUT if I do I want to be blown away with its performance. Im not asking much, would just like decent reception on 11300 for example plus Caribbean air nets etc .. Oh and I might change my mind if Kinloss closes and doesnt reopen down south !!

No not yet. I've spent too much on antennas recently. I'm going to try a half size G5RV first to see how that goes

It's easy to get carried away with purchases in this hobby :smiles:

A half size G5 is resonant on 10 meters & a compromise else where. How is your wire run out?? Is it fed via a balun?? I use a Global SWL ATU & really rate it.
