Hi there you wouldn't know the colour codes and talk groups to york store net would you ?

is it easy to work out the codes for york store net with that Motorola radio ?
because I'm thinking of buying a motorolla dp 3600 from eBay

I can see it won't be long before a lot of members will be getting banned on this forum for asking what the exact dmr radio details are of shopwatch etc ,especially if something like this could cause the forum being shutdown if its been proven to be used illegally by crooks so good luck with trying to get help and do your own research on frequencys etc ..

I don't see why this should cause a problem.

A lot of analogue frequencies are shared for the purpose of scanning despite there being laws against listening to various analogue transmissions.

A lot of DMR information is available on the internet and decoding is not rocket science so shopwatch users should be aware that there transmissions are not 100% secure.

Of course its a problem , the only reason we can hear what
we can now is cause these business users think there
secure and as soon as they find out there not they switch
to enhanced or ras where they completely dissapear for
good .
The best way to kill the scanning hobbie is by putting the
exact details on here and worst case scenario some muppet
programming them into a radio bought off ebay and
actually transmitting on them , would it still not be a problem
if that was the fire brigade or something where the media
would jump on and have a field day saying how new system
Isnt secure etc

If you want these and you have to do a little homework
and then keep it on the qt between the dedicated users
on this forum otherwise all this work we have done and months
of listening can be switched to enhanced and its game
over for dmr then we are back to searching the analogue
Side of things again.

moj is right everyone should stop giving each other the codes and use laptops and dmr software instead everyone should be very vigilant and assertive because our analogue scanners are becoming more and more rubbish because even couriers and even museums are going over!
first the cops weant tetra then fire then ambulance then tv bands then eventually broadcast radio which I totally disagree with!

I love the scanning hobby and have done for over ten years now and i fully understand when members wish to be told the exact details but we will regret it in the end if we post it all on here , the day when ian wraith made his software was the best thing that happened for us dmr users and even better the usage of dsd cause we finally had the correct tools to decode which i,m really thankful for.

it scares me to death tho knowing that ever since the secret got out and was made popular that it could actually be monitored by a cheap dongle and ppl are searching ebay to buy a 2nd hand dmr handheld to program up especially when there not even licenced to do it then finally this digital side is soon going to dissapear and if other ppl are like me and who have bought loads of expensive handhelds etc there prob going to end up being useless once ras and enhanced security gets used more often and the dmarc network will prob be the only listenable dmr frequency .

Another example look at idas radios again listenable but once the encryption is switched on we havent got a chance in hell to monitor the users etc

i personally think give it another year or so and we will prob be back to scanning the only listenable frequencys that are on analogue cause digital will be too secure to monitor and it will be ourselves to blame for making it all public knowledge .
