Ham Radio Operator From Runcorn, UK Loses It (Audio)

I heard this on a SDR on 145.475 MHz. Here is a clip of the radio ham totally losing it on air. This happened on Sunday 11th January 2015 at around 10.30pm

Poor guy. He sounds like he needs PRN more than a PTT. PRN is a term for medication that is given as the need arises, it comes from the latin term Pro Re Nata which means as the circumstances arise.
He sounds very much what the wife & I call "Work." She is a dual qualified Nurse, mental health & learning disability & I among other jobs managed a mental health rehab unit.

We need to be careful judging ham operators on edited audio snippets posted online. there is a person who trolls and abuses amateur repeaters known as the croakalition crew (see GB3DY). he will antagonise a ham for hours with croaks and rude comments and look up the ham he is abusing on QRZ and then use those personal details against them. When the ham finally snaps he is sure to put it all on soundcloud and youtube ommiting his original insults. Something to be aware of there was a post about this on the forum somewhere a while back which I cant find.

Is the DY problems still persisting?? I know it was an issue 4 or 5 years ago. But I thought that had been sorted.

They were up until recently but I havent listened to the amateur bands for a while now to be honest I have lost interest apart from my local simplex 2m channel which has some good people on and is the only ham frequency in my current scanlists. There are videos from 2010 posted by M3TSY here viewtopic.php?f=3&t=126 which is typical of how it was most of the time on GB3DY. GB3VT was always my most loved repeater and things got out of hand and crazy on there too but it was always in good fun unlike the abuser of DY who was quite a nasty little sort who would abuse hams and then look them up on qrz and use that information against them on the air.

I remember at the time, it was said Ofcom were investigating. But I have heard nothing more, so I assume that was a false claim.
I do not understand why the amateurs local to DY, especially the licence holder, are not doing more. It is not exactly difficult to track someone down. It only takes a few people to quietly monitor the input, to see what area they are in & then a few minutes of someone's time to define the location exactly. And after that an official complaint can be made & if that fails to achieve anything, then often a naming with location often does the trick, as these fools are cowards.
Also normally the types of idiots who jam up repeaters are very low IQ, so they often give themselves away. I once heard someone keying up on the Norwich 2 meter repeater (GB3NB) When suddenly someone approached the mike keyers vehicle & used his christian name & the fool only replied with the mike keyed!!!! It was only a few seconds of the idiots voice, but it went with a name & it was as clear as if they were in the same room as me
He did look very very uncomfortable when I had a conversation about what I had heard with another amateur in front of him, but with out naming him. The other amateur was in on the conversation & we had decided to let him know we knew & hopefully stop him.

That poor guy this is one of the main users of GB3MP and he receives constant hassle all the time on there, but he does exactly what they want him to do and that is to bite!
No matter how much they try it is better to switch off and ignore it.

It's sad when people deliberately wind up people to that level - as it's obvious to everyone he is fragile. Pretty disgusting really. Especially as the things said that wound him up to breaking point have been removed. Clearly, the fault is with the people doing the bullying. There will always be sad individuals who see this as fun. Even putting the clip up adds to the misery, as these things become part of history for eternity.

That said, I'd have to wonder why he even tries to use radio. People with the disorder I suspect he has have trouble with face to face socialising, and using radio - where facial expressions cannot help the person decide the sense of what is said, really mean that radio is a problematic communication medium for this person.

I guess we've all known people who could be prompted to explode - but nowadays, instigating this for 'fun' is considered pretty pathetic.

I still have recordings I made of the fun we had in an music store with a person, who by today's standards, was a vulnerable adult - with plenty of the 'letters' not known back then. I've never put them online, and to be honest feel a bit guilty for winding him up, then recording it.

This fella clearly has mental health issues, and the people who drove him into that state for fun are Jeremy Kyle fodder.

I visit Runcorn occasionally, not sure if it's the same operator, but there is someone who loses it nearly every time I come down here.
