I wish I had taken a photo of my mates raid buster. He welded a holder to the metal bumper of his cat & a bracket to the car & constructed a quarter wave vertical for 48 meters & intended to drive around the country lane & make it harder to DF him, after several raids.
It was a great idea, but unfortunately the antenna was of rigid aluminium construction & thus over head wires & branches overhanging the road meant it was a no goer.
But it looked great on his Morris 1300 or similar.

Theres a Morris 1000 near me with a coiled CB antenna on it. Its the classic dark green and wood design morris and the antenna is a green colour which strangely enough looks pretty neat. I dont know the guy but he also has a cobweb antenna in his back and an old army jeep with a huge antenna on it in the front. It looks original but i have never seen it move.
