AR-109 Airband scanner query

According to various suppliers and their web site listings, this scanner covers the airband, wide FM (broadcast radio) and narrow fm (137-180mhz). In reality, the nfm range only goes up to 175Mhz.

Does anyone have any hints or short-cut key presses to extend the range to 180Mhz, as per advertisers claims?
