Dico tap on a BCT15X

Postby AndrewIrvine » Sat Oct 08, 2016 11:25 am

The answer is probably 'no', but if you add a discriminator tap to a 15, then select 'Digital' on the software (Freescan Sixspot) does it eliminate the hammering noise when it finds a signal? My 15's warranty is up in a couple of months and I want to have it done anyway. I already have a tap fitted to a Pro 2042, which I won't have to lug around as well when I go to Cheshire etc.

I do not have a clue. But if you are doing it. I would be interested in your opinion of how it works.

I tried to correct the spelling mistake but it wouldn't let me. I noticed that in the mode choice when entering frequencies, digital is included. It got me wondering. It will be December before I have it done.

I know this thread is a bit old but thought I would throw my 2 cents in.

I have a disco on my 15x and no when you select digital it does not stop the ''hammering noise''
