Hey All,

Graham is the name from Belfast.

Pretty close to the City Center so if anybody nearby needs any frequencies or might have something to share with me then please say hello :)

I am currently rocking a Whistler WS-1098, absolute babe of a scanner once you get to grips with it.

Good to be here and thanks for accepting my registration

Hi all

I have just joined the forum as I excitedly wait for the postie to deliver my first ever scanner, a Uniden UBC125XLT from Radioworld.

My main interest is aviation photography, so plan to use the scanner at air shows and other events. Who knows where it will lead!

I will try to get to grips with the scanner before this weekend's show at Duxford.

I apologise in advance for any stupid newbie questions! :embarrased:

Hello & welcome.
Have a good weekend at Duxford &watch the speed cameras if you drive far on the A505, they are very profitable.
Duxford has a radio society & operate the amateur radio callsign GB2IWM. Great Britain Two Imperial War Museum.

And the only silly question is the one you fail to ask before you do something that you need not have have done & I have failed to ask plenty of those.
I have been listening since the 70's & still have plenty to learn about & lots I know less about that people who are newbies with an interest in an area I do not.
Also often by asking a question you hopefully get different answering with different views, so we all learn by someone asking.

Thanks for the welcome, m0lsx.

The postie has now delivered the UBC125XLT and I am now reading the manual (who says men never read manuals!)

Standby for questions.... :dizzy:

Hi all. Despite finding the UBC125XLT far from intuitive, I found it a real bonus at Duxford last Friday to Sunday because it allowed me to anticipate a pilot's intentions when taking photographs. I wish that I had bought one years ago!
