had a bit of difficulty getting my registration sorted but have been lurking for a few months.
just scanning at the moment (live under the flightpath for GLA) but intend on getting my amateur license this year.

From what I remember of Glasgow, I'm an ex HGV driver. It's Valley City with some great locations for VHF/UHF & some terrible places.
FlightRadar 24 may interest you, as you can watch flights live. It is fully moveable, so local, national, America, any where.

Plenty to listen to down there, or there was. I use to deliver to a wholesale meat place in Bristol some Monday & Thursday mornings followed by a trip over to Avonmouth & home.

fully paid up member of flightradar 24...even use a raspberry pi as a receiver and contribute data.
reception isn't great where i am but have some fun scanning around the city...some maritime stuff too. building a new antenna so we'll see if it can pick up more from home.

Hi, lupinehorror. I brought one of the AirNav Radar Boxes when they were £50 last year. I live less than a mile from Norwich Airport & even with the standard antenna I pick up a reasonable amount.

Hi All

I'm new to scanning really. Can remember my dad and grandad used to have scanners a few years ago listening to this and that.
What bought me here was my recent purchase of an SDr dongle for tracking planes.( finally found a use for my raspberry pi ) I thought I might be able to listen to them Aswell.
I live on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
Still looking for a scanner but got my eye on the ubc125
