FM interference 2/6/17

Did anyone else in East Anglia or further afield have overseas stations causing interference on the FM band this morning?

I drove from King's Lynn to Fakenham the back of 9am and there was extensive interference from Italian and other stations across the whole FM spectrum. I was able to tune into at least two stations strong enough to get the RDTXT signal on the car radio, one station identified as "105" which I believe to be Radio 105 (an Italian station network) and the other as "Radio Zeta"

Tropospheric ducting?
When driving from here (Norwich) to my mothers at Hunstanton an area South of Fakenham to Sculthorpe's Four Winds Junction is often a great place for DX, especially during the morning.

Maybe, it was gone by 2pm when I came back.

I have had some very good mobile FM contacts from between Guist & the Four Winds junction & on occasions as far north as the Bircham / Stanhoe junction just South of Docking.
The cliff top at Hunstanton has always been a good place for sitting static mobile. But I have never had the quality of contact from Hunstanton that I have had from A148 area. And that despite having lived in the Hunstanton area for a big part of my life.
