Freescan problem

Is anyone using a Windows 10 / Freescan programming software / Uniden 3500 combination? I can't figure out why, but my programming won't log tones or the duration of the transmission. It was ok until a few days ago. I've tried downloading the programming again, I've reset the radio, nothing seems to work. It still logs the frequency, time etc.

Take it you are on about Virtual control? does the scanner screen show the tones?

Both do, the log viewer won't unless it is already programmed into a memory. If the tone is set to search or the radio is searching it doesn't log it it

Try clearing the log files?

I've tried that, I've wiped it out the laptop and reloaded it.

Have you tried a Windows restore back to before the issue started in case it's a Windows update that's causing the issue ?

I'll give that a go. I've an old laptop running on Vista, it's working as it should on there.

After about 300 views on 3 sites ans no replies, I finally got this reply via the Freescan man himself.

"The logging system gas some bugs in it, if the scanner doesnt pick up the tone fast enough it may not be recorded. It is on my to do list.
Happy Holidays"

It still works on Vista Home Premium. Unless I can't find it, Windows 10 only has a reset as opposed to a restore point.

Restore is not automatically enabled by default on Windows 10, so it just needs to be activated manually.
Go to settings, the gear wheel just above the power button.
Type restore into the search box in settings.
Click create a restore point.
A new box opens & there click create a restore point on a protected drive.
And from there it's much the same as always.
