Anyone have any news on this unit , its been a long time in coming . If indeed it ever does??

I was looking a few days ago & Wallace & Gromit, (or Nevada who owns W & S,) are taking deposits of £25 on them. But are giving no details of when the release date is or which model you are paying a deposit on 
While the American site, Universal Radio Inc said in the middle of last year that the Icom IC-R30-00 is the American spec radio with gaps for mobile phones & then there is the R30-11 GOVT model, which is the same as the IC-R30-00, but without the gaps & it will presumably be this no gap model that will be available in Europe.
