Hi. I signed up here for this reason and I hope someone can help. I have tried dsd with some little success with a discriminator tap but mostly garbled.

The posts about this RTL dongle have give me some hope. Will this dongle receive 453.86250 and 453.98750 uhf mototrbo. Can I plug this into my PC and connect to dsd and receive and decode mototrbo as dsd has not been much success for me with my discriminator modded scanner.

I have found this one on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111068586783 which is the number you said for £6.79. Does this receive raw audio. I would really like to receive mototrbo so any help is gratefully received :embarrased:

Thanks for the very quick reply I have just bought one from the same seller. I did have a few encodes that I could hear and make out but always hit and miss with DSD and I tried in Dos with options and adjusting audio and other things but most of the time everything was just garbled. this is using a Uniden 3500 with the disc tap mod.

right guys new problem !

I,ve been reading all the forum tutorials and thought id try my luck with the funcube dongle pro + instead and now I,m not getting any audio or decoding like I do when the scanner is plugged in , I,m using sdrsharp , with the filter audio unticked and changed the setting to other soundcard and using virtual audio cable setup but still I,m getting nothing at all on my screen now even on dmr decoder no txt at all !

not got a clue where I am going wrong and I,ve tried different settings !!!

is anybody nearby to me in Manchester who can have a look at my setup and see if they can get it working cause at the moment its all hit and miss and I,m getting nowhere !

yep I followed your advice and downloaded that program but again its not picking nothing up on the dsd window , its like I need to change it to see usb instead of the scanner tap that I tried before , at least with the scanner tap txt was appearing in the dsd window .

is there a command that needs to be typed in dsd so it recognises I,ve plugged a usb dongle in instead ??

Hi Allan, personally I have not had any issues with mine, other than the lack of a antenna..But my understanding is, that they work as long as you download everything is the right order..Get the order wrong & it all goes wrong..
