I have been searching around 440-470Mhz and around 164-167Mhz for DMR transmissions in the UK.
Are there any other parts of the radio spectrum i should be searching.

I like to hunt all digi users and have picked up DMR (all logged and confirmed as dmr) on frequencies from 144.750 to 181.9875 and from 433.0000 to 462.6875 so happy hunting

Your searching the correct bands, keep trying mate I'm sure something will come up. What specific area are you? Another member maybe able to give you some frequencies.

In the Liverpool area there are DMR users between 152 and 153 mHz.
