Same mate , closecall only worked on analogue for me when I was hoping it worked on digital aswell but that wasn't the case.

...on balance though, the TRX models don't really do close call at all, and their fast spectrum search equivalent isn't that much better than sticking the Uniden on a custom search across a focused frequency band. Close call works fine on [DMR] repeaters.

I'd add that programming and the EZScan software in general for the TRX is frankly hopeless, and the current TRX bandplan still doesn't cover several UK VHF DMR users frequencies. If you need to use your receiver to regularly search for new frequencies then I'd say forget the TRX. But the TRX works great on NXDN, and I completely agree that DMR simplex on the TRX is much much better than on the Uniden, especially on VHF.

In my own opinion Sammy between the usa uniden model I owned and the whistler trx-1 the whistler receive sensitivity was a lot better , the uniden didn't seem to drag the signals in as good as I expected but both of them bypassed the Motorola ras which was a good thing .

its just down to personal opinion tho really but until I try the 3600 I cant comment yet if its been made any better than the us equivalant model that I owned mate ?

as for the whistler so far I'm happy with how it performs except for the odd birdie signals it can pickup when searching and the obvious no choice to search either just analogue or just dmr or nxdn signals etc

Between the Whistler and the Uniden digital portables, the whistler is better at decoding DMR..
My ideal digital scanner would be:
The case and screen of the Uniden..
The innards of the Whistler..
