Diamond X-30 Tuning

Postby AshtonMobileScanner » Thu Oct 27, 2016 1:47 am

Hey guys just been having a go at getting a better SWR on the Diamond X-30 Never really tuned a antenna but I thought I would give it a try.

Readings before tunning was:
VHF 144 - 1.5:1
VHF 146 - 1.6:1
UHF 430 - 1.4:1
UHF 439 - 1.5:1

New readings
VHF 144 - 1.1:1
VHF 146 - 1.2:1
UHF 430 - 1.1:1
UHF 439 - 1.2:1

Not got a clue how ive reduced the SWR but im happy :smiles:

What did you do to it? The end cap is usually glued firmly on! I;d watch the waterproofing now you've broken into it!

There is a screw near the radials which lets you remove the inner workings via the bottom
