yaesu ft 60

Postby tegsy1 » Sat Jan 07, 2017 6:30 pm

Hi All, Belated Happy New Year to everyone, I have the Yaesu FT-60E handheld, There seems to be a problem when I transmit.
I am getting reports from other radio operators that the audio is low and I cannot be heard,is there a setting I may have missed when programming the radio? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe low audio on transmit is a known problem. But it's not normally so low that people cannot hear you, just quieter than some other radios.
The only thing that may change volume slightly is the TX deviation level. I believe it should be set to wide..
Wires can knock the first word of a over out, if it's switched on.
It could be that you just need to talk closer to the microphone & louder or clearer.
