The topic of spying & amateur radio is not a new one. Back in 1968 Chief Technician Douglas Britten G3KFL an RAF Signals Intelligence Specialist serving at 399 Signals Unit, RAF Digby, Lincolnshire was convicted of spying for the Russians.
The following link is a thread on this forum about Douglas Britten.https://ukradioscanning.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4880
There was also a issue over privacy with the 2017 cRSGB yearbook, which resulted in it being recalled.
