CIA documents on Russian hams.

Postby m0lsx » Mon Jan 23, 2017 5:29 pm

The CIA has just declassified a large number of files it held on Russian radio amateurs.
The documents include translations and assessments of : amateur radio clubs, including DOSAAF, which was a paramilitary sports club. As well as amassments on training; monitoring sputniks; technology and equipment; and even qsl cards.

The topic of spying & amateur radio is not a new one. Back in 1968 Chief Technician Douglas Britten G3KFL an RAF Signals Intelligence Specialist serving at 399 Signals Unit, RAF Digby, Lincolnshire was convicted of spying for the Russians.
The following link is a thread on this forum about Douglas Britten.

There was also a issue over privacy with the 2017 cRSGB yearbook, which resulted in it being recalled.

Remote viewing?

I was kinda hoping Stargate would be some top secret air force project that had a base miles underground and the stargate was a portal that could travel to other planets
