Uniden 125 vs 15x

Postby DARREN4963 » Tue Jan 03, 2017 2:07 pm

Does any other member have both the uniden 125 and the 15x ?

I have both and run them side by side both into identical antenna's at same height etc and although specs say both have the same sensitivity I find the 15x hears things that the 125 simply doesn't pick up

Both are fairly new with the 125 having been obtained 1st and the 15x just recently.

Up until obtaining the 15x I was very pleased with the 125 and thought it was a great bit of kit but now next to the 15X I am not so sure

So I am beginning to wonder if there may be an issue with the 125 ?

Does anyone else find the same comparision

cheers

I have both, running off the same discone via a Stridsberg multi-coupler.
For example: London Volmet 128.6 (actually 128.5925 transmitted from Clee Hill some 35 miles away):
Receivable on both, quite clear.
But signal strength is 5 on BCT15X, 2 on UBC125XLT.
Sound slightly clearer on the BCT15X, but obviously affected by the different enclosures and speaker size.

To be honest I hadn't noticed much difference before you asked.
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.
