Welcome to the forum, you need to do a Limit Search, where you search between a low & a high frequency. Limit Search is page 21 of your manual.
1. Press Program.. Program appears on the display.
2. select the number of the bank you want to program. 1 =1 etc untill bank 10, when it is 0.
So 10 banks to set up, if you want.
3. Press Limit button & low appears on the screen.
4. Enter the desired lower frequency.
Error will appear if you enter an invalid frequency..
5. Press the Limit button again Hi appears.
6. Enter upper frequency.
Error appears if you enter an invalid frequency.
7. Press Enter.
Use the up & down arrows to set the scan in motion. Even if a frequency is busy. As pressing the scan button returns the scanner to pre set frequencies.

Try to keep search bands small, as radio overs as often quick. I scan airband in several small 2 to 3 mhz chunks.

It can be frustrating when you have to certain things with any radio at any time.
GRE, Radio Shack & Realistic are all the same radios & I have several of them, plus others & when I go to do something I have not done for a while & need to rely upon the manual, it can be tough at times, as often the manual make even something simple feel like anything but simple.
My Yaesu FT 1800 transceiver & I have a real love hate relationship. I love it's simplicity & can do anything I want with it, other than program in channels with ease.

If you look below this post, or any other that I have made you will see two links.
One is for a Google search of this site.
https://cse.google.com/cse/home?cx=partner-pub-6291336405621919:2662881632

The other is for Kimmy JS19's database. He does one which he configures for your local area..

http://ukscanningdirectory.co.uk/

The google search of this site did not bring much up, but depending where you are in Lincoln, you may get Scampton.
241.4250 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF PAR
241.8250 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF RADAR
243.4500 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF AIR/AIR REDS
278.5000 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF GROUND
281.3250 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF TOWER
308.6250 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF APPROACH
377.0750 UK EGXP SCAMPTON RAF DIRECTOR

And yyou will get the local radio amateur repeaters & one of those repeaters, covers North Norfolk & the A1 from Peterborough in Cambridgeshire & up almost as far as Doncaster/Sheffield on a good day..
I have to go out, but I will look some more up for you..

145.7250 - GB3LM LINCOLN.
433.0500 - GB3LS LINCOLN.

I often get into LM (145.7250) from The North Norfolk Coast at Hunstanton when operating from my car & it's rare that I use more than 25 watts & have worked other mobile stations on the A1 as far south as Peterborough & as far north as Retford, although I have heard vehicles further north than that.
