Can anyone recommend a good in car holder to take a unidentified ezi33xlt scanner.

I use a cup holder & have done for years. I have wired them to air vents, hung them on doors & all sorts. As long as the antenna is above the dash, they work fine. The only draw back I have found is that the longer & slightly better 38cm antennas are too tall, so it's a smaller antenna that needed.
Also prefrably buy a deeper cup holder, as like that the radio sits more securely in it.

I have adapted in car mobilephone holders and a GPS holders in the past .By glueing a flat piece of plastic to the holder the radio fitted on easily with the belt clip.

I have been using the cup holder idea for years. My brother has ones that clip to the doors at the window.

If you want a Gucci looking solution, google 'brodit clips'.

These are custom to each vehicle and allow you to attach anything you want to the dash without holes or screws.

I have a sleeveless padded jacket with front pockets at chest height, I clip my radio to one of those.
