Looks expensive.

And will probably scan at 10ch/sec or something pitiful :mrgreeny:

i would love a new quality icom receiver but... it doesnt even do DMR ??? :rolleyes:

Lack of a keypad puts me off straight away.
Unless of course it has voice recognition on received frequency and can offer up any frequency mentioned by ATC…

I have one of the old R-7000's & these radios are not scanners. They are receivers & very very good ones. They are not designed to be used by people who only want to skip through hundreds of preprogrammed channels. But to be used by people who want to monitor bands or specific frequencies.
I brought my 7000 mainly for the birds, as it allows me to follow the changing frequencies with ease & despite it's age, it's sensitivity beats any modern scanner by a mile.
