In that case I probably can't help you,all of my local frequencies, apart from East Mids airport, are fairly short range ones based in the city centre.

Hi,where in Leicester are you,and what scanner do you have?
Also what are you interested in listening to?I currently have the local Citywatch,Leic Uni staff, and Bradgate Park rangers, but they aren't on as much as they used to be,also I've got the frequencies for East Mids airport air traffic control.
A large number of frequencies seem to have gone digital,so I no longer have them now.

Citywatch/traffic wardens;453.7125(regular use)

Bradgate Park rangers(though rarely heard now)453.8250

Leicester Uni Maintenance/porters;456.7500(in regular use,you get a tone like ringing phone first)

East Mids airport;Approach 126.1750/134.1750

Bear in mind though that you'll only get one side of air traffic(planes to ground)unless you're close to the airport.

Hello Nighthawk999. I live fairly close (a mile or so in a straight line) to Stoughton Aerodrome... and pretty much under the approach to EMA. Never having used a scanner I've been thinking about buying a 125xlt to listen to the aircraft, although I might just cough up £50 or less on a used Realistic/Radio Shack job. Stoughton gets fairly busy at the weekends, particularly if the weather's good. Is there much to hear?

Cheers.
