Why the fuss? Idiots buying one to listen to the police are unlikely to be able to work it anyway, and everyone can send them back if they don't like it. I've bought many items from idiots who didn't know what they are selling to my advantage. In this case it's the other way around. I bought an excellent analogue bit of kit described as digital, mono and line input only when the one sitting here was analogue, stereo and has a mic input. Got it for a silly price because it put others off. Caveat emptor is Ebay's system. If you want accuracy, go to Amazon. Hang on, they very often have identical descriptions, and many come off the box, and that is the problem, the box labels are often the cause of the problem.
