Activity in Cheshire

Postby Malc68 » Sun Feb 11, 2018 5:58 pm

Hi’ Guys,
Is there anyone in the Cheshire are that can advise me on scanning activity.
I can get all the usual stuff like hams etc, but don’t ever seem to get much else.other than annoying strong carrier noise.
I was thinking about getting a Whistler Tx2, mainly for digital but I don’t want to spend another £500 on something that doesn’t have a lot to listen to.
Cheers, Malc

Where about's in Cheshire? There is a little massive thread in the English by area thread, started by me, even though I live in Ayrshire.

It's here https://ukradioscanning.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2018

I have these for Oulton Park if that is near wherever you are.
No idea if they are still current.

As AndrewIrvine said... Where about in Cheshire...?

Cheshire is a big place... for example you wont pick up most local Chester business users up in Macclesfield and vice versa so the area you are after would help...?

Thanks for the replies
I’m in Runcorn, it appears that there is very little about other than hams, taxis’s ect.
I was wondering if there is a bit more on digital, but £500 is a lot to spend on speculation.
Cheers, Malc.

I visit Runcorn and can pull in things from Liverpool to Manchester. If you can get to it, Halton Castle is a brilliant location to listen from. The vast majority of shopwatches are DMR. I'll be back on the 28th of April for a few days. I started this thread 4 years ago tomorrow. viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2018
