There is a way of doing it but 80% working, 20% that it might brick however 99% of the time i have unlocked a phone by doing this but WONT RECOMMEND over wifi just LAN.

you would need;
The Motorola cable
Drivers
USB Over Network http://www.usb-over-network.com/usb-over-network.html
Hamachi https://secure.logmein.com/products/hamachi

then the person has to have the software and then can remotely program the radio for you by USB.

DONT USE 3G Dongles! and again no WiFi! use a LAN cable.

If you mooch around the net hard enough you will find CPS10 build 510 and FW R1.12.02 is actually out there! :) you WONT get Any FW updates but it'll get you started.
