CB Radio Repeaters

Today I managed to hit a repeater on the CB band, Ch2 on the Midband/EU using FM. It was a first for me and after talking to a few locals they told me its suspected to located in Russia, I was also told there was one on Ch24 midband FM.

Anyone got any information about them? I thought it was strange to have a repeater on the CB band.

There are quite a few so called 'parrot' repeaters located throughout Europe on the mid band and also on the German only band (Ch41-80 or 26.515MHz-26.955MHz FM).
