I have just seen this on the Southgate ARC news site..

MyDel Dyna 1D
Martin Lynch and Sons Ltd are pleased to announce the release of
a new product line, the MyDEL Dyna-1D PMR 446 Micro-Handy Transceiver.
Sold as a twin pack, these micro-sized light-weight & licence free communication 'walkie-talkies' can be used for many commercial and leisure applications.
Ideal for wandering around a rally, show event or hike with your friends, the Micro-Handies offer ‘Crystal Clear Audio’ that is super loud (much louder than most handies even twice the size). The receive and TX audio is extra sharp for a unit which fits firmly in the actual centre of your hand.
Each twin-pack comes complete with an integrated antenna system, led torch feature and FM radio. The package includes 2 x transceivers (black or white available), 2 x large 1.2Ah battery, lanyard straps & desk chargers.
Current list price is £ 99.99 per pair, order now at our introductory price of £79.99 available from stock. See HamRadio.uk/1D

The concept that the power & everything else is limited by law, makes the idea of boosting the audio a great idea. It's how several of the legal FM broadcasters have "accidentally" found audiences where they should have no coverage.
So maybe this 446 radio will have better coverage that other legal 446 radios, if they have truly boosted the audio level.
But I am not sure about the claimed micro size. My daughters had 446 radios of a similar size a before they got amateur radio licences & they were of a similar size & I have used (or tried to use) 446 radios belonging to others of a similar size..So are they really that small compared to the competition??
My other issue is £100 for a pair of 446 radios :shocker: :shocker: :shocker: I could buy a box full of cheap dual banders for that.
