Widnes Radiowatch, in Cheshire is now digital, as far as I, aware still on the same frequency (453.700). I'm only a few miles away but haven't picked it up. I'll try a lot of listening tomorrow. I saw one of the radio's in Holland and Barrett, heard it too. I still haven't got Warrington Shop / Pubwatch or the likes of the Golden Square etc.

Widnes Radiowatch now DMR, 453.600. I confirmed it's new home about two weeks ago. Warrington on DMR, still on 455.700.

Has it!? Shows how much attention I pay!

Guessing as you're local do you have the color code etc. for Ipswich S/W and other local DMR users as my scanning attempts so far have been fruitless and going mobile with a lappy + DSD isn't really a viable option! If you're not allowed to post them here (which I believe is the rule) are there any resources on the 'net that would have such info? Google searches aren't showing much either.

M6DKG: Yes I am sort of local, I live about 20 miles from Ipswich, at Leiston, as for your question about "colour codes", sorry you have lost me on that one, haven't got a clue what you are talking about!!!! I am a "newbie" I have only been into the scanning lark about 5 months now and only have a Grecom PSR295, with a Watson W801 for mobile and a eurostick on the shed for home use. So still a bit wet behind the ears!!! Please elaborate on the terminology you use for me!! Cheers Clive

Colour codes, the new fangled replacement for either CTCSS or DCS tones, basically.

Is this a lower power system ? I am not far outside of Newcastle City Centre but have not managed to hear anything on the frequencies listed.
