I do not too bad with my humble set up in Runcorn, a Skyscan on a shed roof in the middle of a housing estate. Or sitting in a pub in the middle of Warrington with my 2042 wired to my laptop and hidden under my rucksack. I've never searched for DMR from Halton Castle using my 2042, there is nowhere to plug it in for a start... I've tried using my SDR dongle from inside the Castle pub, but not a lot was heard, plus I had nothing magnetic to sit the micro antenna on.

I have a Diamond X30 too, it's a bit limited on what it hears on uhf around 450-460. even though my two way radios go there.

Baseband audio available from pin nine on the TK10420 and from what I remember the same as the Pro2006 which is more commonly covered by websites. If not online it is almost certainly covered by the Bill Cheek books which the websites were all based on. You should be able to get those books ordered easily enough from Wallyton library if it hasn't been turned into another shop yet.

.....from back in the day when there was less of the uniden cack polluting the market.
