Not as far as I know, but then I never heard them when they did.
With Airwave I see no reason for them to do so.
The fire service only do so because of concerns about an increased risk of TETRA transmissions in explosive environments.
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

What would happen if the police, fire and ambulance all turned up at the same scene?
200 miles in 2 days for my 3 children.

It would be fine - isn't the issue that there is no intrinsically safe TETRA terminal? The handhelds the fire-service use in hazardous environments are the ones full of the gungy stuff, aren't they?

There are four time slots per TETRA frequency
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrestrial_Trunked_Radio
Most Airwave sites have at least 2 frequencies (so effectively 8 time slots, with one time slot per site being the control channel, leaving 7 usable channels);
busy sites such as in city centres may have more than 2 freqs.
Rare to find a single frequency site.

Eight frequencies is the most I've found (Atop an office tower block at Yardley in East Birmingham) (31 usable channels)

Trumpton would arrive on scene and get on with the job in hand..
Bone Collectors would grab a patient and join the queue of vehicles at the hospital..
Plod would turn up later and wonder where everyone else had gone..
