Birmingham - Sandwell Frequencies.

Postby iScottybotty » Thu Oct 13, 2016 1:32 pm

Hi all.

I'm just wondering if anyone would be so kind as to share some new frequenciesni. birmingham?

Specifically trying for Security at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, City Hospital and anything really around the Sandwell region.

I'd be happy listening to construction companies also purely for the banter factor, does anyone know any Crane/ Banksman frequencies?

Thank you!

Due to cranes and building gangs moving about the country a lot they tend to use the BUSINESS RADIO (SIMPLE UK) UHF frequencies especialy in DMR mode:
449.3125
449.4000
449.4750MHz

Thanks Mike. Grately appreciated. I'm thinking to buy a digital scanner but are clueless. Thinking Tytera TYT MD-380 as I've seen on YouTube that they are relatively easy to programme if say you have a seperate scanner. With my UV-5R to find the frequencies, I'm thinking with this I'll be able to listen to the modulation by obtaining the frequency from the 5R then manually entering the details to the MD-380?

Possible?

So are most of the folks when they first buy a digital scanner :)

I have played about with digital radio using various methods of receiving for a few years now, if I was to choose a bit of kit now for receiving digital I would go for a new digital capable Whister or Uniden handheld or base scanner, they are not that expensive and work straight out of the box - No one bit of kit to find the signal and another to listen to it !!

Thanks all for the replies, I'll check out the link for city hospital.

Mike, thanks for the information, I'll check those out as an out thea box set-up would be ideal.

Would you have any links of trusted sellers? Thank you.
