450.25 Sea cadets

Sea Cadets on 450.25 NFM, not a military freq, and that band is supposedly made available on a temporary basis.

Don't know where from, but callsign ("MFT") suggests their South West region (Based in Bristol, though exactly what area it covers is unclear)
I guess it is probably a repeater from the signal, don't what the input f is.
Best guess from signal strength is Gloucestershire/ Worcestershire area.
I reserve the right to ignore people who have made no attempt to the read the manual, and expect others to do it for them.

Not all Sea Cadets are Military. Some are Scouts with Royal Navy support. I know one troop in Norwich is. But as you say, a strange choice.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Navy_Recognised_Sea_Scouts

There are 103 Sea Scout Groups in the United Kingdom and one group in Gibraltar who are affiliated to the Royal Navy in order to foster a close relationship between the Royal Navy and young people in the Scout Association by making naval facilities and equipment accessible.

I do not know about Sea Cadets, but Army Cadets use PMR simple/light or what ever it's called.
