Morecambe / Lancaster

Postby AndrewIrvine » Sun Feb 12, 2017 5:54 pm

Not a lot to be had in the area.

Morecambe Shopwatch on both 453.600 /218.1 and 453.9875 / 192.8.
The pubwatch call out for radio checks on the above, the reply can be heard on Lancaster's watch of 453.500 / 151.4.

Firefighter handhelds are on DMR 457.0375

I heard security for a pub on 449.3125 / 71.9, possibly Smokey O'Connors, plus another on 446 channel 3 / 67.0. Not sure where it was but it has an upstairs. The Arndale in Morecambe is still on 169.825 / 77.0. Lancaster University security is on encrypted DMR.

I didn't hear much the last time, I was staying in the Travelodge and could barely hear anything outwith Morecambe. I'll be in town again in September, I intend moving back next year.

This is copied and pasted off my Freescan file for my Uniden 3500. I know some of these will be out of date, some I found n the WTR in the hope I'd hear them in Morecambe. If you have any you are willing to share, DMR included, I'd like to have them. I'll be in Morecambe the first week in September for a couple of nights.

I have a caravan on ocean edge, and have found they use Boafeng radios with default freq, last year the used DMR radios, are they still using digital or analogue?
I cant check until next time I am there....

I'll be in Morecambe for a couple of days next week, but will be too far away to hear them. Chances are it will be analogue. I'm not using this site much now since I can't make a simple request without getting abuse. For the next while I'll private message my finds outwith where I live, to people in the areas I visit. Even admin read my messages and don't reply. The 'outbox' gives it away. I get enough private messages to almost start my own site...

It can be, either officially or if you buy the likes of an MD380 or RT3 etc, you could illegally make up your own. If you have a list of finds and pass it on, I can programme them in and have a listen. I'll be back on the 23rd for three days, then heading to Cheshire.

I posted nearly a year ago the firefighters were on DMR, there was a fire on Euston Road and I found them during it. The talkgroup and slot are the same number. In September I posted what I thought was the power station but no one has confirmed it. I live in Ayrshire but listen in when I'm down. I'll be back later this month. I keep asking for what people have that has yet to be identified and I'll programme them into my radio, but it's not happening. I post what I find and I don't live there.
