Is this a copy and paste off the WTR, can they be confirmed if it is? In the WTR they don't always put the right colour codes. I also have frequencies etc in my boxes the WTR says shouldn't be what I've programmed in.

Colour codes are just the digital equivalent of CTCSS/DCS.

Nonsense statements about not being able to post colour codes, are made by complete numpties who see the word "code" and think it means "encryption".

They should buy themselves a dictionary.

To which I would add RAF Molesworth (USAF)

P25 system (so you need a P25 capable digital receiver such as the UBCD3600XLT)

System 169-2. Site 4. Most use NAC164.

404.525 Control
404.825 Talk
404.875 Talk
405.1 Talk (this uses NAC293 for some unknown reason)

Each will have an equivalent mobile input frequency, but haven't found those yet.

Talk groups are not allowed, to some tones are allowed, some take fits. They are OK, as even admin post them. Some websites allow talk groups without repercussions.

Nobody has ever said code as encryption in any sense that I can remember. It's simply a rule, that all members should follow. Doesn't matter if you agree with something or not. If you don't wish to follow the rule, then start your own forum and pay the bills. calling the people who run the forum names is just childish and helps form opinions. Colour codes are something you just have to work out for yourself - and lets me honest CTCSS is a receive function to silence traffic. colour codes enable reception. Totally different - not remotely an equivalent!

There are no official rules regarding talk groups / tones etc in this group. If there are, can you provide a link? I have been asking for months for a definitive set of rules to be made public, it hasn't happened. I have a private message from Silver Shadow to continue as I am. I was lambasted by backseat admins / moderators for posting stuff the real admins had of mine before I even found this site. I wasn't allowed to post similar stuff other people had of my own work. If an admin posted my work, it was fine, if I continued on the same vein, it was wrong. The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz made more sense than this group has.

No Wait a minute Andrew , you were told by kim what the rules were and we were all also told and she said that after a bit of a discussion that she didn't mind us posting the colour codes now when before it was a massive nono and your supposed to of agreed to these term's off kim.

we went with whatever kim decided but as for groups and encryption's that was completely different and anything posted regarding that was against the forum rule's.

I thought we all sorted all this out and finally put it to rest , below is kim's comment's

We've got some new measures to put in place over the next few days :walkietalkie:

These include a set of "Basic Rules" which will mostly be concerning DMR. These will be posted in here first to be looked at before posting on the public boards.

Also 2 images which will be posted as moderation tools to replace the text posted where rules are broken and where people are just going off topic and arguing. After time the posts with the images will disappear themselves.

The growing Runcorn / Widnes / Warrington post by AndrewIrvine will be the first to see these images popping up shortly...

Well it's gone into effect starting on the Runcorn / Widnes / Warrington post by AndrewIrvine. I've noticed he's not posted since it was done around the 27th Feb.

I'll send him a message letting him know that the posts will soon be deleted and any off topic or posts breaking DMR rules in the future will all be removed with warnings for people who keep breaking the rules.

I've also had to replace other peoples posts as they were on the same topics/arguments otherwise when the images are deleted the thread wouldn't make much sense so each side of the arguments have been removed.

Hopefully he will still stick around and follow the rules as I know he's been argumentative with people but I think he's genuine and wants to share his finds and help others in the hobby.

as you can see kim has sent you a message and will be dealing with it and posting her rule's for all the forum to follow !

Also before you start kicking off I'm not having a go at you personally I am just showing you what we were told by the admin so you can see nobody is making any rule's up or being wannabe admin's etc and it's all in the moderator's hands Andrew !

I gave up after the first line, the rest you have put was a waste of time. I was told to continue as before. This group has no set rules.

I was not told anything of the sort by KIm. I have never seen anything of what you have posted.

Why don't the admins / mods of this page just get together, post what the rules are. Until then, whatever moj etc put is futile. I've been told what I'm putting is killing the hobby, no, what back seat moderators are inflicting is.
