Unknown Contractor wkg with Network Rail...

Postby USAFE501 » Mon Nov 20, 2017 11:42 pm

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post , here in North Herts on the East Coast Main line "unknown" trackside contractors working with Network rail engineers heard on
169.0875 mhz with 71.9 ctcss tone.
Conversations heard mentioned ongoing maintenance on the track through the nights between Cambridge and Kings Cross - crews using a Ballast wagon and a crane on the line to replace some rail
Sorry it's a bit vague and not the most exciting of users ,but might be useful to someone ?

Thanks

169.0875 is a simple light frequency viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8

possibly could be using others too. most likely 169.3125 if so.

Alfie,
Yep thanks for reply - have had all of those freqs programmed in nearly every scanner I've had just in case -had the same freq yesterday believe it or not in similar area but during the day and different ctcss tone - this time it was cable engineers pulling new fibre through a hole in the ground opposite a new housing estate.
Only takes few mins to put those freqs and short term hire freqs in the radio...you never know what you might hear ? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Cheers
