457.0375 very much alive here in Thetford and also a pump from over the border in Brandon Suffolk also called in on the same on arrival at a job very close to my home. :thumbup:

457.08750 Control still active around the East Midlands, as well as all the on scene handhelds.

Hmm, so how come I hear the control room operator speaking to the fire tenders on scene regarding their stop msg!?

May have been relayed on the fire ground radios, all fire controls are using the firelink tetra system.

Yup fully aware they are using and have been using the Tetra Airwave system for a few years now :) I'll have to make a video and post it up. I did speak to a fire officer at a local event last year who spoke of each fire tender has installed a digi Airwave to analouge repeater so maybe this is what it is.

I hear this a lot on 457.4875 but it is training, you can tell as they call control using the ED callsign they used on the old analogue system but it's just another local simplex firefighter that replies as if he is control, that might be what your hearing as they do it often when training in my area.

Thanx for all the reports everyone, nice to see they are all mostly still analogue. Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service are now completely DMR Digital (MOTOTRBO) on their handheld fireground radios and it looks like a few more will be joining them soon :sad:
