They're headed up here for 16:30 (Whitehaven festival). The weather at the moment is not favourable though.

I have 243.450 am programed in ready with squelch fully open as its not very noisy or unbearable compared to fm squelch

Are there any other frequencies to monitor while they are in transit etc. ?

The notams are very helpful so if i am reading them right they were last at bae warton at 11:45am and will be at fleetwood at around 3:19pm ?

NOTAMs are usually helpful....but due to high winds at Blackpool they have landed at Liverfool for fuel so missed the latter part of that route section.
Will depart from there for display at Whitehaven and likely use Liverfool again (rather than Blackpool) for fuel before returning to Scampton.

As for other freqs - as the transit is all at low level then all aircraft will have one radio on 243.450 and RED1 will work the primary freq for the area they are in and allocate other aircraft (usually RED3 and RED4) to pre-contact other agencies on their route.

When they leave Liverfool one of them will speak to Warton, one to London FIS, one to Scottish FIS etc.

My Maycom AR-108 scanner isn't able to tune to "243.450 RED ARROWS Air-to-Air Primary (Main channel)", the manual for it states that the Airband is 108MHz to 136.975MHz.
Can anyone explain why they're not using the Airband freq's? And I suppose I'm stuffed getting the radios on my Maycom?

Thanks

There are two airbands, Civil and Military.

Civil Airband is VHF AM between 109.000 to 137.000 MHz
Military Airband is UHF AM between 230.000 to 400.000 MHz
