you would think the reception wouldn't be that different because Waddington and coningsbey are only about 23 miles apart!
And also does anyone know what receiver you would need to pick HM ARMY UP?
As a wee while ago kevin said in the radio user that he was using a trunking scanner a bearcat to pick up army exercises on Salisbury plain !
Can anyone shed any light on if a AOR AR8600 WOULD BE SUFFICIANT ?
and if not would the rtl 2832 r820 software defined radio do the job ?

In the words of ancients DJs "you already did".

A more useful answer is that they are generally up to date apart from a few changes as squadrons have been disbanded/moved in the past year. Also a few base changes to BINA notified by ERBs over the same period (eg. a couple of changes to Wittering come into affect today).

(the monthly UK AIP update applies from today also - changes to that are available online as are the NOTAMs between the monthly updates.)

no you need to be at Salisbury plain, you will get apache and lynx so maybe trying them they sometimes on exercise pass troop frequency info across
the british army ( troops use clansman radios) they also have frequency hopping systems. I have heard troops before but not often.
