Racking my brain trying to get this working lol. Few questions to make sure im doing this right:

1: Do i need to program both of these 162.1750/157.5750?

2: i have a Uniden ezi33XLT - this has a few different pre programed banks of frequencies where u can add your own - do i need to programe these into the marine bank?

3: when starting up i have bank plan 1 and bank plan 2 ...whats the difference :S .. im on 1 at the minute but dont really know what it is.

Most people say "bandplan 3" is the correct one on a Uniden scanner for use in the UK mate

Normally for land frequencies I would say just put in the repeater/base frequency as that will be the strongest but with the Marine band it's a bit different. Where there are two frequencies one is the base and one is the vessel so it depends on your location which will be the strongest, to hear both sides put in both frequencies. I would program your receiver with the Foyle main frequency and all the marine channels. Then after a while of scanning you'll have an idea of the channels you will favour and want to monitor more closely.

Thanks folks :) as of yet I'm still failing to hear anything :( hopefully I'll get lucky soon and get it working.
